MotoBuddy

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

MotoBuddy ("we", "us") is operated by Paweł Gładysz. This policy explains what data the MotoBuddy mobile app collects, why, and what control you have over it. Contact: padosiak@gmail.com

What we collect

Account data. Your email address, first name and date of birth. You need to be 18 or older to use MotoBuddy.

Profile data. Your photos, the motorcycle in your garage (or the fact that you are looking for your first bike), languages, home country, and anything you choose to write about yourself.

Location. With your permission, your approximate or precise location, used to show you riders nearby and to place you in the right city or region group. You can refuse it and still use the app; you simply will not see the distance-based features. You can revoke the permission in your system settings at any time.

Content you create. Messages, photos and locations you send in group chats and private chats, and the trips you add (destination city and dates).

Verification data. A selfie taken during identity verification, used only to confirm that you are a real person and to prevent impersonation.

Purchase data. Your subscription status and purchase identifier, processed through RevenueCat and the app store you bought from. We never see your card details.

Technical data. A push notification token, and crash and error diagnostics used to fix bugs. Crash data is not linked to your identity.

What we do not do

We do not show ads. We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not collect an advertising identifier. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Why we process your data

To create and run your account, to show you other riders and let you talk to them, to keep the community safe through verification and moderation, to handle subscriptions, and to fix technical problems. The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you, your consent (location, notifications), and our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe.

Who processes data on our behalf

Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), RevenueCat (subscription management), Expo (push notification delivery), Sentry (crash reporting), and Apple and Google as the app stores. Each acts as a processor under contract and only for the purposes above.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account we mark it for deletion and remove your personal data within 30 days, after which the account cannot be restored. Some records may be retained longer where the law requires it, for example billing records.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to padosiak@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account inside the app: Settings, then Delete account. You can also request deletion by email at padosiak@gmail.com from the address associated with your account.

Children

MotoBuddy is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor is using the service, contact us and we will remove the account.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
